Partners in Education (PIE)
A Greater Hazleton Business and Student Alliance

Our mission is to ensure that all students leave school with the academic, technical and employability skills necessary to be successful in the 21st century workplace.

Today’s students are the leaders of tomorrow. Greater Hazleton Partners in Education (PIE) is a non-profit 501(c)(3) business education partnership actively working with our community partners to bridge the gap between school and the workplace in order help our future workforce explore careers, learn valuable job skills, and make meaningful professional connections.

How it Works

To accomplish our mission, PIE works closely with the local business community, Can Do and the Greater Hazleton Chamber of Commerce to encourage students to seek out opportunities for higher education and employment in the Greater Hazleton area.

We connect schools, business, industry, and the community to bring quality educational opportunities to the districts’ students. Schools and the districts are benefiting from the innovative partnerships created through this connection. For partners, the benefits are immediate and long-term because an effective education system provides a strong foundation for economic success in our community.

We provide support, information and connections through our innovative programs and events (have a link to programs/events) that include Career Awareness Day, our annual Girl Power in STEM Symposium and our Mini-Grant for Teachers program.
